“Our challenge was to mould a PE duct fitting with an inner foam layer, a totally new concept to us. After lengthy discussions with STP Rotomachinery and Plastimac, we decided in June 2018, on an STP Series SRM 3500-4C 4-Sided Shuttle Rotomoulding machine, a new concept from STP. The machine was an extension to STP’s range, which evolved from the STP 3-sided version. A decision was made to go ahead with the new concept and STP were up to it. Just about 12 months to the day the machine was installed and commissioned in June 2019 and has met all our requirements and more.”

Gyro has recently achieved two major milestones, 50 years in Rotational Moulding, and 20 years in operation for our STP ZS100-2C Inline Shuttle Rotomoulding machine. Originally a daring purchase for our companies previous owner to secure a large contract which required 24 hour production for 16 weeks, more recently our big blue STP has fondly become a reliable workhorse that has managed the majority of the workload for our factory averaging 60 hours or 100 cycles a week for 20 years. We have been blown away by the hardiness of this machine, which has required barely more than minimal running maintenance in its lifetime. It continues to be the most practical, flexible and economic machine to manufacture on within our factory and the machine of choice due to its simplicity and speed to operate. Despite rarely requiring the input of the STP Rotomachinery team because of the reliability of their machine, whenever we are in contact, they treat us as a valued and well remembered customer and provide us with a very thorough technical service.
